In the water-constrained Southwest, growers face mandatory reductions in water delivery. Absorbing those reductions without losing yield depends on irrigating precisely — which requires knowing where a crop is actually under stress. That analytical capability exists, yet reaches only a fraction of U.S. farms, and almost none of the smaller operations, largely because of cost and complexity. This initiative investigates the delivery problem rather than the sensing problem: how validated analysis can be produced repeatably, reviewed by licensed professionals, and delivered affordably.
